About Us

Spectrum Acoustic Consultants was formed in 1989 as a staff buyout of the acoustic design and consultancy business of ICI Acoustics, the acoustics division of the UK chemical company ICI.

The roots of the newly independent group were firmly in the oil, chemical, manufacturing and distribution industries, however we soon began to diversify into other sectors notably the power industry and of course also the building and construction industry.

The firm has grown both in employee numbers and in capability and now has a formidable reputation within the UK and also internationally.

We are based in Bedfordshire, just north of London and have a satellite office in Lancashire.
