Maritza 3 Power Station, Bulgaria

Two Flue Gas Desulphurisation absorber towers being constructed next to one of the tallest chimneys in the world at 325m (same height as the Eiffel Tower) at the Maritza East 3 lignite fired power station in Bulgaria.  Spectrum was retained by the client to undertake a baseline noise survey in the area including noise from the power station and many miles of lignite conveyors in the surrounding countryside.  All this in advance of bringing the new FGD plant on-stream.
