Pre-Completion Sound Insulation Testing Pre-completion sound insulation testing of a separating wall and floor being carried out by one of Spectrum’s ten staff accredited under the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) scheme. At any one time, Spectrum can put out three two-man testing teams anywhere in the UK to carry out both airborne and impact sound insulation tests. Sound insulation testing is the final stage in the process which normally begins with undertaking the acoustic design of separating walls and floors to comply with the numerical requirements of the Building Regulations Approved Document E, Ecohomes or now more recently the Code for Sustainable Homes. For many residential developments, pre-completion testing is a mandatory element needed to show compliance with these Standards. |
