Pre-Completion Sound Insulation Testing

Pre-Completion Sound insulation testing of residential spaces can be the mandatory final stage in the process which normally begins with undertaking the acoustic design of separating walls and floors. This design has to comply with the numerical requirements of the Building Regulations Approved Document E, BREEAM or the Code for Sustainable Homes.

For many residential developments, pre-completion testing is a mandatory element needed to show compliance with these Standards. All our testing is carried out by staff fully accredited under the ANC Registration Scheme.

Sound insulation testing is carried out on other acoustically critical projects, such as schools, offices, medical and arts facilities. Standards of sound insulation to be achieved are generally specified in Employers Requirements or other documents. In all cases all our testers are ‘suitably qualified acousticians’ as defined by BREEAM.
