Graduate/Postgraduate Recruitment

At Spectrum we are proud of our Graduate/Postgraduate Training Scheme for acoustic and noise consultants which is a key element in our staff development programme. To qualify for consideration on this scheme, you need to have a 1st degree (min 2.2) or a Masters degree in acoustics/acoustical engineering/audio technology/noise technology (min 2.2) from a well-regarded University. 

Experienced Acoustic and Noise Consultants

Spectrum will also consider applications from those already with some experience of acoustic or noise consultancy, provided they also have an engineering or scientific first or higher degree from a well-regarded University. For exceptional candidates who join us we will financially assist them in seeking to undertake further part-time qualifications in acoustics, including at MSc level.

Year-Out Acoustic and Noise Consultancy Industrial Placements

For those currently at University studying acoustics at undergraduate level and seeking a year-out industrial placement, Spectrum offer the opportunity to experience consultancy first hand in our Biggleswade office. The number of places for this is however limited, and applications should be received by January 15th for those commencing their one year industrial placement July-September the same year. 10 Week Noise and Vibration Consultancy Summer Placements

For those studying noise and vibration at undergraduate level, we welcome applications from second year students seeking 10 week summer placements as part of their course, and who are interested in careers in acoustic consultancy. Applications for these should be received by April 15th for placements in the summer.

Overseas Applicants

We welcome suitably qualified applicants from EU and also non-EU countries who wish to work within the UK, and will assist wherever possible in negotiating with UK immigration authorities regarding Visas.
