Cinema Acoustic Design

Performance spaces such as cinemas and auditoria, require precise acoustic control to deliver the intended experience. Sound isolation from adjacent spaces, reverberation design for speech or music, and background noise control from mechanical services are all critical.

Spectrum has experience with new-build performance venues and heritage conversions where the existing structure presents constraints on how acoustic solutions can be implemented.

We work with architects and design teams to develop specifications that achieve the required acoustic performance while respecting the character and limitations of the building.

Our acoustic modelling capability allows us to predict and optimise the acoustic behaviour of complex volumes, supporting design decisions with defensible technical evidence.
