Graduate/Postgraduate Recruitment

Spectrum welcome applications from graduates/postgraduates. You should have a degree with relevant acoustics content or a general engineering degree and the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) Diploma. For applicants with general engineering degrees who haven’t yet obtained the IOA Diploma, Spectrum will contribute towards funding and support study of the Diploma on day release. The successful applicant will enrol on the Spectrum training scheme, receiving training and gaining experience across a wide range of projects.

Experienced Acoustic and Noise Consultants

Spectrum welcome applications from those with experience of acoustic or noise consultancy, in particular those with 1-2 years’ experience. You should ideally have a degree with relevant acoustics content or a general engineering degree and the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) Diploma. Spectrum offer an attractive remuneration package including a competitive salary, profit sharing bonus scheme, private pension scheme, car allowance and private healthcare insurance, and where appropriate will offer a relocation allowance. Spectrum support employees in achieving Chartered Engineer status.

Year-Out Acoustic and Noise Consultancy Industrial Placements

For those currently at university studying acoustics at undergraduate level and seeking a year-out industrial placement, Spectrum offer the opportunity to experience consultancy first-hand in our Biggleswade office. The number of places for this is however limited, and applications should be received by the end of February for those commencing their one-year industrial placement July-September the same year.
