Hotel Acoustic Design

Noise can be a major disturbance to hotel guests whether from outside traffic, mechanical services plant or from activity within the hotel itself. We select facade elements to keep out all noise and help guests get a good night’s sleep. Approved Document E of the Building Regulations requires sound to be controlled within hotel corridors, as well as between guest rooms.

Luxury and Boutique hotels require even higher acoustic performance, and special acoustic treatments to public areas such as atria, restaurants, conference areas and meeting rooms. We use Odeon computer model software to help optimize the acoustics in these spaces.

Fitness, wellbeing and pool areas additionally require vibration control measures and consideration of moisture resistant absorptive treatments.
