Keeping noise off the menu at Gousto London

Multi-million pound recipe box company Gousto chose Spectrum to prepare a noise impact assessment for their new offices at The Shepherds Building, Hammersmith. The noise assessment was required to ensure external mechanical ventilation plant was appropriately designed, so as to cause no disturbance at nearby noise sensitive locations.

Spectrum liaised with London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham’s Noise Team and agreed an assessment approach in line with BS 4142:2014+A1:2019 Methods for rating and assessing industrial and commercial sound.

The assessment involved measuring existing background noise levels then creating a noise prediction model to assess the impact of operational noise using calculation procedures from ISO 9613-2:1996 Acoustics – Attenuation of sound during propagation outdoors.

The assessment confirmed a very low impact and planning permission was granted, leaving Gousto to concentrate on what they do best!
